beyonce’s has her baby – finally

For some reason, everyone has been anxiously awaiting the birth of Beyonce’s baby with husband Jay-Z. Well, the time has come; the wait is over.

They had their baby girl on Saturday night at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Her name is Blue Ivy Carter, and she is their only child.

It was said that Beyonce and Jay-Z forked over $1.3 million just for the room in which she gave birth. Crazy, if you ask me, but whatever works. I just wonder how much they’ll spend on the nursery…

There’s lots of theories about how she had it (natural, c-section) and why they named it what they did. Let me just say this:

A woman had a baby. She happens to be a famous woman. Beyonce. It’s a precious little girl named Blue Ivy Carter, and she had it in New York on Saturday night.

And I guess that’s all we really need to know. Let’s just wish B and J luck in their parenting endeavor…I’m sure they’ll do great.

jessica and justin: reportedly engaged

It’s been reported that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are engaged. Sources say he popped the question in December, while they were vacationing in Jackson, Wyoming.

The couple has been on and off in the past, and were said to fight over silly things such as how to organize food in the fridge! They took a break in 2011 of about 3 months, but had a serious conversation about moving forward when they reunited.

He has been quoted as saying that she is the most significant person is his life.

Will they last this time? Or will they argue over how to organize the cupboards…

darth vader dies

Bob Anderson – the man who played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy’s fight scenes – passed away a few hours after midnight on New Year’s Day, at age 89.

Anderson was 56 years old during filming of “The Empire Strikes Back”, and he was already a World War II veteran and Olympic fencer (1952).

David Prowse and James Earl Jones were the other two that brought Darth Vader to life, but Anderson made the fight scenes come alive.

Let’s hope they don’t ruin Star Wars even more by trying to make more new remakes.

the katy perry and russell brand story

Everyone was shocked when the first rumors of Katy Perry and Russell Brand splitting surfaced, including me.

Fans were skeptical when the pair wedded 14 months ago, because of Russell’s bad boy past, but people soon fell in love with the couple, and were expecting it to last.

Rumors hit the internet shortly after Christmas, with news that Katy and Russell had spent Christmas apart. Katy spent hers in Hawaii, while Russell was in the UK. Many people blew it off as a silly rumor, but the divorce has been confirmed.

Last week Russell stated “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I will always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

So, what went wrong in paradise? Well, when Russell filed for the divorce, he was said to have cited “irreconcilable differences”. Katy, who grew up in a strict Christian home, had different values then Russell, who has had problems with drugs, alcohol and sex addiction in the past. The couple was said to be fighting over partying quite a bit. Katy liked to be out on the scene, having a good time, but Russell tried to stay away from it all, because of his past.

Also, with all the time they had to spend apart, it couldn’t have been easy to work out those problems long distance.

The night before Thanksgiving, November 24th, Katy Perry had her final concert of the “California Dreams” tour, which I was lucky enough to go to. She made many references to her marriage and her husband. She seemed happy at the time, but then again, maybe she was putting on an act so as not to spur on any rumors.

I guess we’ll see what happens with these two. Will they end up back together or with different people? We’ll have to wait and see.
